2 and 1/2 year old very clumsy, could it be her ears/eyes?

Hi all,
My DD2 will be 3 at the end of August. For months now she has been walking into things. She walks into the door frame several times a day. This morning she fell into our sofa twice.

When out walking, she cannot seem to walk in a straight line.

I've just been putting this down to her being a clumsy child. But I have noticed that she doesn't always appear to hear me. Yesterday I asked her to do something 4 times and each time she said "what". I got mad and shouted at her thinking she was just playing up. (then i felt like a bad mummy for shouting at her).

We have a history of hearing problems in my family. I had grommets untill i was 11, and very nearly had a hearing aid, several other members of my family have had the same thing.

I dont know if i'm over reacting and this is normal behaviour for a child of this age (my dd1 is 3 and 1/2 and was never like this).
Other then that I tjought maybe it could be her eyes.

Do you think I should take her to the doc's, I hate wasting their time.

I'd take her either to the doctors or ask the health visitor about it just to be on the safe side. The HV can refer for more detailed hearing tests and probably to an eye clinic too. There's probably not a problem but if picked up early enough hearing and eye sight issues can be corrected really easily.

Go through your HV at this age, they can refer on and do some early checks for you.
My dd walks into tables and things, she has a sight issue called nystagmus, but she has no hearing problems at all, given your faily history the ears sound like agood place to start on?
