Ds is 3yrs 6months, we notice for more than 1yrs that he just can't stop talking, if you ask him to, he will keep quite for 30s and than talk, he talks without stop, he has to move when eating.

Yep. They do that sometimes. Sympathy.

Yep. I've asked ds1 if he ever stops talking and he answered "No. When you make me shut up I just carry on going blah blah blah in my head'.

Sigh.

Mmm yes.
I would say that mine talks from the moment he wakes until he goes to sleep. But in fact he talks in his sleep as well.

Stream of conciousness, very fast, interrupted by laughter and the dreaded "whyyyyyyy?"

Just let it wash over you

My 6yo DD1 is exactly the same and unfortunately she has no volume control either. You have my sympathies.

JordannaNelson · 20/09/2012 20:49

Oh my.. I'm so pleased I found this thread!
My son is the same.. Is it just boys do you think?
Oh, goodness.. He drives me mental at times, he'll be 3 in December and hasn't stopped since he was born. Or so it feels!
Constant rabbiting, and if he's not talking he's making noises of some kind. Dancing. Singing. Humming. Stamping. Roaring. Baby roaring.
I'm so glad we're not the only ones.

I think sometimes he's got ADHD or something!
Although it has to be said, the only time I'm ever still, is if I'm asleep!

At least they've got character tho. I guess?
Confused

happywithit · 20/09/2012 21:01

My word my DD is 2.10 and never ever ever stops talking during waking hours! Actually that's not accurate, she will stop talking maybe once every few days but only to sing-yell Baa Baa Black Sheep. On repeat. Asking her to be quiet for a bit just flies right over her head and she'll continue as if she didn't hear anything. Even when she's having quiet time in her room I hear her babbling and singing away.
Makes.me.crazy!
