4 y/o aversion to certain people

My 4 y/o ds seems to go through stages of really hating members of our family! We live with my mother, father, brother and sister. He will decide he doesn't want to be near/talk to my sister, for example. As soon as she walks in the room he will make horrible noises like he is really angry she has come in. He'll say "no don't talk to me aunty x" if she tries to make conversation etc. This is obviously upsetting those this is directed at- mainly my sister and mother.

Does any one else have a similar experience? :s

I think he probably does it for the reaction. You should probably have a word with your family and tell them to act like they're not bothered. He'll soon stop when he's not getting the desired response.

They're quite canny at 4 aren't they? Grin
