got to write an essay and i need some ideas please
the title is cinema and television are responsible for the majority of problems in society. do you agree, why or why not?

Well I guess you have to give both sides of the argument. On the for side you could mention the recent case of a pyscopath who murdered 4 people - sadi at his trial that he wanted to be Freddie Kruger
Personally I disagree and think that alcohol and drugs are the cause of the majority of problems in society

so far areas i've got to cover are the fact that our kids role models are celebrities and not parents,
theres is less social interaction
our culture is losing its identity because of the amount of american shows on TV,
many children are just plonked in front of the TV for hours at a time, receiving no other stimulation.
it would be good if you could all expand on your opinions of these areas, and also bring in new ideas if you have any.

Actually, I think the problem is more the fact that we seem to have developed a real problem with being bored! Constant stimultion required for all ages - a quick fix for every need/want/problem. And we want to be our child's friend adn not his/her parent! OMG! I sound like my mother......
