Nose-picking - when to discipline.

Are they too young to understand at 19 months or is it never too early to teach them not to do it. Actually I'm secretly grateful when DD has a good old dig out because it means I don't have to and she is SO much better at it than I am, what with her 19 month old fingers. She did offer the checkout girl in a shop a nice fresh one the other day and said proudly 'bogie!'. Blush

my dd is nearly 9 and still gets caught picking her nose! I dont really think it needs disciplining though although she gets told not to do it. I still have an odd pick at my nose too when I think no-ones watching

Hahaha well at least she's generous!

I'd maybe work on trying to teach her that it's only ok if she does it in the bathroom, or some other designated area...? And then lots of praise/reward when she does it there. I don't think 19 mths is too young, mine reacted quite well to encouragement and rewards at that age.
