DS is now 18m, and can be very difficult at times. Even now with me pg, he tries to climb all over me and sometimes kicks the bump. We've tried telling him not to and getting DH to take him away if he doesn't listen, but that's not always an option if DH isn't around.

I'm getting quite worried about recovering from my CS with DS being so boisterous at the moment. Anyone aware of books that talk about a parents recovery from a hospital stay???

*have posted in pregnancy too as am desperate!!

He's too young to understand tbh.

I'd distract him - get loads of books, special little toys in etc and stop him that way. But no 18 month old I know would get it really. You can show him how to be gentle? Lots of praise for stroking?

There is a great book that has a whole chapters on preparation for and recovery from caesarean birth. Its available on Amazon - take a look at
www.tiskimo.com/birth

I had the same gap between my two and after the caesarean I sat with a folded blanket over my bump (a cushion was a bit too big) and that certainly helped.
