Hi there - I know this is not a major issue but every time I see my DS (3.8) with his thumb in his mouth, he has his finger wedged up his nostril. It is driving me to distraction and makes me feel sick. I really don't mind him sucking his thumb it's the finger up the nose things that drives me mad.

Any suggestions? (Other than just get over it...)

If it's a comfort thing rather than him picking his nose then I have no idea, except tell him not to every time he does it.

My DD (11) still sucks her thumb and curls her finger around the tip of her nose when she is tired , I dont think she will ever stop, although she no longer does it outside.

She also likes to rub her hand over somones arm, leg back or whatever bit of skin she can access, now that does get really annoying!Grin

She used to play with her ear too, but no so much now.

Bandage his hand... tell him it's poorly.... try 3 days to begin and extend if needed.... RESULT.... end of thumb sucking... finger up nose ... and no guffy teeth... Grin
