Did maybe some soap, too much water etc go inher eyes or on her face ? Has she maybe slipped and its frightened her ? Can you try the bath instead ? Tell her she can pick a fave book to be read to after her shower maybe

HI, My DS was like that, hated having showers.

I think taking him swimming and getting him to use the showers after really helped (no idea why)

Does she go in on her own {sorry know its tmi question} as it might be a fear related to that.

also I think I explained to my DS that it was just like standing out in the rain.

if she was older you could explore whats going on for her but at the age of 3 its harder to do that, can you think of anything that happened one day when she was in the shower that might have triggered off these tantrums?

hope you get it sorted and I do think as they get older they do learn to get on better with the shower.

Kids seem to periodically go off bathing (well mine do anyway). Skip the shower, skip the trauma I reckon. Have a day or two off. We are weirdly obsessed with washing our kids every night but the fact is, they don't need it.

New flannels/shower gels/toys etc are always good for getting them back in though.

Mine hated it but watching big sister 5yr old demonstrating it in a very OTT manner helped, as did being given the gel etc to wash herself - she loves that - and having hold of the attachment so she can control more of where the water goes.

Thanx to everyone for advice is going to leave it for a little while then try again the worse part is having hair washed.
