Nosebleeds

My ds is almost 5 and has been having nosebleeds sonce about 18mths. Recently I think they are getting worse. We have seen the dr twice before and last time they gave us Naseptin cream which sometimea worked, sometimes didn't.

Does anyone have any experience or any advice about what I could do next? We keep him well hydrated but kwwping him cool is hard, especially at night, which is when the majority of his nosebleeds occur. Any advice gratefully received.

Both my DDs have had nosebleed problems that began at about the time they started school. They both had their noses cauterised at about age 7 or 8. It was a fairly simple procedure done with silver nitrate (I think)

My older DD (now 18) has never had another nosebleed since but DD2 (now13) has had one or two.
