All this because of teeth...?

My 12 month old DS has currently got 4 teeth coming through, 2 bottom and 2 top back teeth (think its these causing the problem!). With his previous teeth he was just a bit whingey with red cheeks and Calpol and Teetha combination seemed to do the trick.

This time round he has a temperature (the weathers not helping), snotty nose, diarrhoea, off his food, crying most of the day ....and night when he previously slept through 7pm - 8am! I've also noticed that he has a lot of wax suddenly in both ears, if I go anywhere near them though he kicks off and seems to have a bit of ear ache (wouldn't say its bothering him much- unless I try and go near them!)

Is this normal?

It could be, back teeth are trickier than the front ones.

However, I'd take him to the docs just to get his ears checked as he could have an ear infection and need antibiotics.

Another vote for GP. Sounds like possible ear inFection / virus.

One of my DTs gets ear infections with teething - def worth a gp visit...
