Dd[5] coming home from school with stuff broken and bruises.

What should I do, she doesnt seem overly concerned but talks a bout one little girl pinching her, pulling her hair etc. I dont think shes making it up and she doesnt seem overly concerned. Do you think I should be worried? I have a parents meeting next week, do you think I should mention it or let dd deal with it as she seems to be doing?

I would mention it definately. You could explain to the Teacher that you think dd is handling it but it would make them keep an eye out for bullying at playtime+

I agree with Angeliz. Mention that you just want someone to keep an eye on it rather than someone to barge in. It sounds like your DD is self confident enough to handle it at the moment.

It's not a can of worms, I'd ask. She's 5, she shouldn't have to deal with it, she needs the teachers support and yours if sometihng is going on.

Great if she can handle it herself, but better if someone is keeping an eye out in case it gets out of hand.

Also best to put it on record. Otherwise if she eventually retaliates she will bear the full brunt of the blame if the previuos history is not known.

Thanks everyone, I knew I was right . Seriously, i will mention it to the teacher. Dd doesnt seem to be overly worried about it but I dont want to turn it into a not wanting to go to school issue as she has really settled at this school after being at a Spanish school for a year and becoming very unconfident and introverted.
