Six year old and sex

DD will be 7 in June. I was clearing up her bedroom the other day and came across a secret diary that she'd been given for christmas. She is always writing and drawing - so I had a look through to see what things she had been doing. Didn't do it to invade her privacy - although dh tells me that I shouldn't have look in it. Well she is only 6 after all.
Inside there were pictures that she had drawn of her and her male friend at school, holding hands and in a speech bubble above each she had written "I am sex"
On another page she wrote down L...is the most sexy boy in the world.
Now then, how am I supposed to feel about this one? Dh seems to think that she is just playing with words and I think he is right. Just amazes and worries me that a child so young could be thinking these things. Shock

i think it's just something they go through... they pick things up at school htat most of the time they don't even understand.

Having worked with 5 boys I can't count the number of "sex" jokes I heard that they thought were hilarious... ie

knock knock
who's there?
julia
julia who?
julia sexed the lollipop lady

that was from a 6 yr old. they laughed their heads off at it, but had no idea what it meant

oh yes, and i think the clue is in the mis-se of words... ie, sexed or i am sex... they can't use the words properly because they don't know what they mean
