2yr old dd twitching and getting upset when others laugh

My 2 yr old DD has started twitching her shoulders recently. The twitches are quite slow and are not causing her any discomfort. She has not been generally well in herself over the last week or so (she keeps lying down when left alone and gets upset when people laugh), but dr said to monitor and come Back in 3 weeks if thIngs don't get better. Does any one recognise any of these symptoms?

I don't, but if she's not herself, did the GP give you any indication of what it might be? I'd be inclined to go back on Monday if she's not any better and push either for suggestions or a diagnosis - three weeks sounds rather long to 'monitor' with you getting more anxious and her picking up on it.

Not sure what you mean by the twitching - does she have control over the twitching? When she is twitching is she behaving normally in all other ways? I think you should go back to the dr. Just to be sure. Just because it does no harm to keep asking to be checked out. My son had a very rare illness which caused his blood sugar to drop for no reason and there was very little outward sign of it. He is fine now and is cured. It doesn't sound the same but from my experience with him I think you should always get these things checked by someone who takes you seriously and really listens to what you are saying. .

Thanks everyone. She is better now, twitching comes only when she is a bit stressed. So i hope she will grow out of it soon...
