2 year old won't sleep in her cot!

Hi all, basically my 2 year old has all of a sudden decided that she doesn't want to sleep in her cot (or her room for that matter)! Every night I try and put her to bed and she just screams the house down! She wants to sleep in my bed and to make matters worse she wants me to sleep with her which would mean a half 7 bedtime for me every night! I don't quite understand where it's come from, she slept through since 6 weeks and ive never had any problems with her sleep wise before! I really don't know what to do any help would be appreciated thanks!

Could be separation anxiety? Has she started nursery or had some change in her life?

Big girl bed. Also a nice technique from MN is to do betime and say you will be back in one minute to give her a kiss if she is quiet, then repeat at longer and longer intervals til she is asleep. Also don't make a big deal about your bed being forbidden, it will only make it more attractive. My 2 yr old sleeps in a double so I can get in and out as needed but still have my own bed next door.

Depends if she is just 2 or nearly 3, I suppose, as there is a big difference in their understanding.

Sometimes I do go to bed at half 7 as my ds has never slept through, so you won't be alone if you give in!

Does she not want to sleep in her room because she'd then have to sleep in her cot? Maybe it's time for her to have a big bed. Or could you take the sides off the cot and see if that makes a difference?
Is she talking enough to tell or show you why she doesn't want to be in there?
I seem to remember DS going through a phase like that. Not sure exactly when it was but I let him fall asleep in our bed and then moved him once asleep. I think it lasted a few weeks then he was back in his bed as usual.
