My ds (26 months) has been hell for the last week - he was a little bit ill, and then suddenly decided that Mummy should go away - whenever anyone else is around. He also says NO to EVRYTHING I suggest, expect of course CBeebies or Chocolate, yet I'm not suggesting those and am certainly not giving them now..We've just moved so I realise he's a bit sore that the old Mum who did everything with him has had her head in boxes, and did use CBeebs a bit too much for a couple of weeks (peace to pack!). He refuses to sit down for meals - shoud I just let him stew or try and make him at least still down? He also always crys on waking from naps (unless its not me there!) and is No no no untill I breast feed him (though he doesn't often actually ask for it). And he doesn't want to wear nappies anymore and says pee loo loo, wants to sit on my lap for it, lovely - so today I decided to let him wear big boy pants and rushed off to get seat for loo (so he did big poo in pants in mamma and pappas, yippee!!) so far hasn't done anything in potty/loo, am I reading a difficult phase as potty training readiness, or is it part of wanting to be more in control of himself (and me!) and should I just stick completely to my guns and keep him in nappies untill its warmer? Argh! I find the less I humour him and am firm (though to easy to get cross to -as he's waking up more in the night and I'm knackered) the more he refuses to have anything to do with me and and and. Argh! So much going on - I'm finding it v.difficult when he's so great with others (esp. his Dad - we're not together!). He does still want me to give him last b/f and stories and cuddles to sleep though, esp. if in my bed, that never changes!
