From the sublime to the ridiculous....

Following on from my "how do I make my 6wk old sleep for more than 15 mins during the day", the aforementioned little angel has slept ALL DAY so far, except between the hours of 7.15 and 9.00 and 11.15 and 12.15. She is STILL asleep. Without a dummy!

The ridiculous thing is that I'm now wondering "hmmmm, is she sleeping too long, will she sleep tonight?"

Someone please tell me to make a cup of coffee and just enjoy the silence Grin

The more sleep mine both get (well not the older one but when she was a baby) during the day the better they slept at night funnily enough.
My one year old has only ever catnapped so you can imagine!!!

FrayedKnot · 13/03/2006 14:58

She's probably doing some serious growing!

How's the coffee?!

Raggydoll · 13/03/2006 15:23

i have a 2yr old and a 7mth old and imo NEVER wake a sleeping baby - enjoy!

PiccadillyCircus · 13/03/2006 15:25

Definitely leave her Smile.

Whenever either DS or DD has slept like that in the day, they have also slept better at night. There is some saying about "the more they sleep, the more they sleep" I think.

never wake a sleeping newborn!
and never return to a litfirework!

well good for you! mine is 16 month and screaming in bed because she is very tired but doesnt wanna give into the sleep and i had enough of it so have left her shouting!!!!

Angeliz · 14/03/2006 09:57

PPH, how did he sleep last night then? Am curious!

PrincessPeaHead · 14/03/2006 10:53

she slept fine from 6.30 but woke at 11 and again at 3.30 for feeds so I guess she is just hungry/sleepy/growing at the moment... quite a shock because I'm used to only one waking!
