Recently MyDD Has Decided She Doesn't Want To Wear Clothes Or A Nappy At Night, She Isn't Potty Trained Yet. So There Ends Up Being Wee Everywhere.

She Is 2.5 Years Old. We Have Tried Potty Training But She Just Screams My Health Visitor Told Me To Wait And Try Again At A Later Date.

I Don't Mind If She Wants To Take Her Pjs Off I Just Want Her To Keep The Nappy On. How Do I Get Her To Do This?

Have you tried putting the nappy on back to front?

Will only work if you are using the standard nappy, not the pull-ups obv

Yea We Did That Last Night And It Worked For About 20 Minutes Lol

DD1 went through a phase of doing this when she was around that age - no idea why (or how - she wouldn't ever take her PJs off when I asked her to!), but she stopped after a few weeks.

Could she be too hot in bed?

TellyBug · 22/08/2012 22:06

Woah, capping up every word must be enormous effort. Why?

  • sorry no advice about your DD -
purpleroses · 22/08/2012 22:10

Sneek in after she's asleep and put one on her? Is she dry in the daytime? If she is, then try a potty just beside the bed, and see if she can manage the night too. If she's hot at night you could offer her a damp sheet to keep her cool - maybe as a bribe if she keeps her nappy on.

My DD did the same at that age - but managed to get dry at night so it didn't reallly matter. She still sleeps naked half the time and she's 9 now!

Thanks All, We Have Tried Everything Backwards And She Still Managed to Get It Off Lol.She Isn't Dry In The Day Yet But IM Gonna Give It Another Go Today .

And The Caps Thing Is Something My Phone Is Doing Lol. I Can't Stop It And It Only Does It On Mumsnet.

Gaffer tape then!

ZuleikaD · 23/08/2012 19:05

Also it sounds as though your phone might be set to sentence case?

My dd likes to remove her pooey nappies during nap time. Tights under a vest with poppers between legs worked for a while.
I now dress her in a swimming suit, the type that looks like a wet suit, it has a zip up the bdck that she can't undo. It has peppa pig on it so she is very happy to wear it, we call it her nap suit.
