Hi,

My son is 13mths and is incredibly interested in everything. How do and what do you do to entertain/teach your similar age child?

Kind regards

I let her play with everything she wants to get hold of (within reason!) & talk to her about whatever it is that she is playing with.

Were you thinking of anything more specific than that? Grin

By being out all the time except for nap, meals and night!

I have a 14mo who is very active and nosy, and so far this week we have

  • been for walks in pedestrian shopping areas (although there was far too much to see for any actual walking to happen)
  • played with a ball in the park
  • sung nursery rhymes with actions
  • been on the swings and slide at the playground
  • visited the local pet shop
  • asked her to fetch various toys, but this only has some success
  • put some things in an envelope for her to play with
  • let her play with some stacking cups and a bowl of water in the garden
  • looked at some books when she has stopped for more than 2 mins
