Bank holiday / terrible weather and a very active little boy

What do other parents do with their little ones when the weather is appalling but litlte monster needs a lot of excercise? Just fishing for ideas....

Swimming is our stand-by. British Gas have an offer on at present for free swimming if the cost for you as parents is prohibitive.

Also, DC tend to be happier in crap weather than we are. DS is happy to be splashing in puddles in waterproofs and wellies, just chuck a spare set of clothes in your bag for afterwards. You may be cold and wwet standing there watching him but he'll have a whale of a time.
