how do you know if your baby has lost this?

I'm trying to wean dd and after another failed attempt at spoon feeding and blw not going well i'm wondering if she has lost this yet? all food seems to come out, she just pushyes it all out with her tounge.

background dd2 is 6.5 months old, but has some 'development delay' what ever that means, but wondering if this is yet another sign of that delay?

its because of her allergies, reflux and delay.

shes not prem or anything, but has taken longer to laugh, reach and grab, shes not making the 'right' sounds. although she sat up 'early' 4.5 months shes not crawling (shes only 6.5 months ffs, give her a chance) she rolled for the first time at 4.5 months then didnt do it again till about a week ago and now shes doing it all the time to get around.

he thinks this could be very early signs of some sort of sn, I think shs a baby, has been around less than 6 months and may just take longer than other children it doesnt help this pead has also looked at her sisters notes and her sister did most things early

Your DD sounds so much like mine at 6.5mo! I can't quite see what your pead is suggesting... for example, DD doesn't laugh much (it might be funny the first time, but it only deserves a smile the second time...Hmm), still hasn't mastered sitting properly, and no real sign of crawling yet as she can't quite get up on to all fours. However I've got absolutely no concerns, even as a first time pfb mum, as she does plenty of other stuff (loves to stand, started 'talking' etc). I didn't think babies were supposed to actually be crawling at this age?!

Anyway, I have only in the past few days got her to actually swallow any food. She's chewed happily on toast, baby biscuits etc but has refused the spoon entirely. I can just about get a spoon in now if she is distracting herself with a second spoon. I have wondered a little about a tongue tie but I have no real idea, I didn't bf, but she certainly has a long tongue that she pushes out all the time and still can't figure out really how to not push the food out of her mouth!

So obv not a professional, but I can't see you're describing anything too different from my DD!
