my dd has her next set of jabs this week. I just know she is going to get really upset and i'll get upset seeing her reaction. any tips/advice? Is it going to be as bad as i'm imagining?

Bribery, all the way! Explain why she needs the medicines, and when it is all over Mummy will have a special treat for being a brave girl. I took dd for her 8 wk jabs a couple of weeks ago and me and ds (5) had a bravery award on her behalf! (Penguin I think it was!) I hate doing it but we mums have to be very brave too, so that is why we all get bravery awards in this family, particularly as ds is on summer holiday and had to come along too.

Good luck

I think I might dodge the issue slightly and not tell her in advance it will hurt! My DD would get herself very worked up if she knew that. Agree with the treat afterwards though.
Generally the nurses are very good at this though and are quick. Get it over with and get out of there.
