Baby that keeps weeing in the bath

My five month old keeps weeing in the bath. Had to change the water three times today for a five minute bath....any ideas? Am I alone?

Bath him faster.

:)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Seriously, there is nothing you can do. A little bit of wee in the bathwater won't harm him. Don't bother refilling the bath, just get it over quick.

TodaysAGoodDay · 17/08/2012 21:38

As long as it's not from the other end, why bother changing it? It's his wee, it won't kill him!

Tee2072 · 17/08/2012 21:38

Just bath him with the pee. If I had to change the water every time my supposedly being potty trained 3 year old has peed in the tub, I could fill the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans.

It won't hurt him any.

littleshinyone · 17/08/2012 21:39

it would never have dawned on me to change the water- don't they all do it?

MangoHedgehog · 17/08/2012 21:40

what's wrong with wee in the bath? I wee in the bath! Wee is sterile

MousyMouse · 17/08/2012 21:40

as long as it's only wee...

poocatcherchampion · 17/08/2012 21:41

Is this a joke? How can you tell? I bathe with my 5 mo daily, and it rarely crosses my mind that she might have peed in it. I'm sure she does but it doesn't matter!

keely027 · 17/08/2012 21:45

He's a boy, I can see the wee spouting out the water level! I give him a bath in the morning because his nappy is full of wee from the night sleep. So trying to clean the wee off him in the bath so don't want to add more wee in the tub :)

This absolutely must be a joke.

keely027 · 17/08/2012 21:48

Reel why do you think this is a joke?

IwishIwasinLondon · 17/08/2012 21:48

Ha! Wait until he's older and stands up just to make sure that his girl cousins who he's bathing with for the first time you've noticed!

Seriously op - don't bother changing the water, it'll be so dilute that it's really not worth worrying about.

Tee2072 · 17/08/2012 21:48

You bath him in the morning to clean off the wee. PFB is he?

Just wipe him down.

YoullLaughAboutItOneDay · 17/08/2012 21:48

It's very dilute. Don't worry. You can't stop him peeing in the bath until he is potty trained. Just be glad it isn't the other - DD2 went through a phase where she did a poo in the bath every night for months...

ObviouslyItsTheOlympics · 17/08/2012 21:49

LOL! I put my DS in the bath, he stands there and wees EVERY time :o

keely027 · 17/08/2012 21:49

What does pfb mean?

OP posts:
keely027 · 17/08/2012 21:50

I am talking about a baby bath here not full adult bath

OP posts:
YoullLaughAboutItOneDay · 17/08/2012 21:50

Yes, we get that...

ReelAroundTheOrbit · 17/08/2012 21:50

Because nobody in their right mind would change the bath water for a bit of wee. Especially not "3 times for a 5 minute bath".

TodaysAGoodDay · 17/08/2012 21:50

Precious First Born

keely027 · 17/08/2012 21:51

Ok...

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 17/08/2012 21:51

My two have peeing competitions Grin

keely just wipe him with a baby wipe, or give him a quick rinse in the sink if you feel you must.
And what a waste of water to change it 3 times to bath one tiny child!

openerofjars · 17/08/2012 21:51

Bath = tens of litres of water.

1 baby wee = ooh, say, 50 ml? At a guess?

It's so dilute it's practically homeopathy.

scarlettsmummy2 · 17/08/2012 21:52

Preferred first born. Although I bath my second daughter every morning too so she is clean and fresh too.

Sunnystormyday · 17/08/2012 21:54

Precious First Born.

Are you new to parenting? Before long a little wee won't make you bat an eyelid.

HippoPottyMouth · 17/08/2012 21:57

Are you alone? Erm yes.

Just wait til he starts drinking it too :o
