Dd is 8mo. She loves children and animals and squeals and jigs like a loon whenever she sees a dog (in the park, on the street etc). We also have two cats who seem to faacinate her.
Across the back from us is a dog owner who lets his dogs out into the back lane to pee and poop.instead of walking them but thats another thread anyways, they are very yappy (but not louder than tv or other everyday noises).
Literally every time they arr in the lane yapping, dd looks.really panicky and starts sobbing. Proper tears and gulp breaths. Its so so sad and I give her a big hug etc.but I only twigged that it was the dogs barking that she seems to do it at today.
Shes never ever been around a barking dog, just hapoy quiet ones, so am.sure she has no idea that it is a dog making the noise. She even.wke.in bed sobbing again tonight when they were let out into the lane after she went to bed.
I really dont know what to do.
