I thought I'd turned a corner with my son in last couple of weeks as he started to sleep for stretches of 5-6 hours from 7pm onwards.
This week it's all changed. I had only 2 hours sleep last night.
This is what happened:
Went to bed at 7pm. Lots of crying . Back & forth to cot to give him dummy. Fell asleep at 8:40 after I sat next to cot & held his hand.
Woke at 11pm for feed. I fell asleep at 12.
Then woke at 1am & 2am. Settled with dummy & pat on tummy.
Given feed when woke at 3am & unable to settle. Woke again at 5:10. Given feed as wouldn't settle. Brought into bed with me
Threw up after 8:30 feed.
He is bright & happy during day..has little naps etc. I can't understand why nightimes have become so difficult.
Can anyone offer any advice please?( I'm new to mumsnet so haven't worked out the abbrieviations yet) thanks

Could he be having a growth spurt and needing to feed more often?

I did think that but he is not feeding more during the day. In previous growth spurts he has fed more day & night

Lambster where is he sleeping, is he near to you? At this age some people look on it as the 4th trimester. He's been tucked up inside you for so long and is just getting used to being apart.

As for you being tired, could someone else see to him early evening and you go to bed earlier?
