Please can you tell me how long your ds plays with one toy? I suspect my ds has a concerntration problem, he rarely plays with his toys and if he does it will be 5-7mins before he gets something new out. It seems to be getting less not more as he has got older.

boys usually enjoy active (sports/outdoors/twister,etc) play more at this age so may be normal for this stage of development

If it is still a concern check out the websites on food chemicals and additives to rule out that he doesn't have a food intolerance causing hyeractivity/irritability/other problems before you get a referral
(One website is fedup.com.au) Could try organic milk/yoghurt with no natural or artificial colours and preservative free bread to see if improves
what do his teachers think?

P.S. For me it was my daughter who hopped from toy to toy and appeared overactive, also prone to tantrums. With preservative free bread tantrums eased and better concentration. Later with additive free milk, yoghurt, biscuits etc, I noticed a dramatic improvement.
