Ds is the most stubborn, controlling, manipulative child I have ever known! When he is good he is really good but lately he he seems to pushing boundaries all the time and having big melt downs when he doesn't get his own way!!! He answers back, runs off and constantly argues with his big bro he whines and screeches its worse then a 2 year old!! He is still clingy and hates me going out he even said to me the other day mummy if you love me then I can go with you but if you don't then I will stay at home!! He wants to be in control and will deliberately say or do the opposite to his brother he cannot agree with anything! He will not try his school uniform on, and says he is to going to big school and is never eating his lunch there either.

I have always found that 4 is the most difficult of ages they are neither a "big boy" or "a toddler " and his little mind is thinking about being away from mum when he goes off to school,he is just feeling his feet I think, don't worry he will be too tired once he goes off to school full time and he will settle down,if it is any consulation my DS1 still wants to know where I am if I don't answer the phone to him and he is 37.Grin

Yes, the frightful fours or whatever it is! DS was at his worst (so far...) at 4. Luckily he came out the other side and is generally a delightful 5 year old Smile. No advice really other than be strong with your boundaries, take no s**t, and sit it out.

This time last year when DS3 was 4 and about to start school he was unbearable! He is a very sweet and easy going child unless he has something on his mind and then everyone knows about it!
