When will he learn to sit down?!

Ds, nearly 11mo, learnt to pull himself up to standing a few weeks ago, he does a little cruising too, but basically once he's on his feet he's stuck. I'm finding this really annoying, especially when he's in his cot at night, and it doesn't help that he hates you helping him! So he wants to sit down but doesn't want you doing it! Smile

Just interested to hear at what sort of stage other babies started managing to get down themselves.

Thanks!

Hmm, was going to suggest helping him. Maybe you could demonstrate for him?

Not much help with an age suggestion tho - both mine could get down from cruising at 7 months.

Unless I need to pick him up, I always sit him down from standing in the way he should be doing - he doesn't seem to be taking it on board though!

It took ds2 about 4 weeks after learning to stand to sit. I was just noticing today how proficient he is at it now. Makes life so much easier than his previous method of just falling flat on his back. Certainly better for my nerves!
