grumpy grumpy - does this describe your toddler?

DD (22mo) is very very grumpy at the moment. one minute she is all smiles and happiness and then she doesn't want to have her nappy changed/her clothes put on etc and throws a wobbly. She also had a minor fit yesterday when I only gave her one animal biscuit (she wanted MORE). This was hot on the heals of a tantrum when we stopped by a friend's and they weren't in. Sigh - is this normal? Should I just ignore it?

the hitting - where does that come from? dd does it when she is really frustrated - whacks me in the face. I get the occasional goudge (sp?) too with her sharp little nails.

I thought toddlers hit when they feel strong feelings that they have trouble expressing through words.
