I have heard you can stew pears and then pop into ice cube trays to freeze for later use. When you do use them do you let them defrost and serve cold or are you supposed to microwave and serve warm?

I mix an ice cube pear in with ds's porridge. Whatever you like Smile

Good tip, but not feeding yet, so haven't even got to porridge :)

Smile Or mix with baby rice. Best mixed with something, really, as otherwise it's too runny. Good luck!

If you are thinking of using baby rice, you might want to read this first keely.

When we did DC1 with purees, I would give him the purees fruit a couple of times and then add a little spice to it like cardamon or cinnamon, just to get him used to a bit more taste in his food.

I've weaned 2, one with purees and one blw as she was a total spoon refuser. It might be worth reading up on BLW as it is just soooo much easier Smile.
