MMR booster today - tips for calming!

DD is terrible when it comes to doctors and needles (or in fact anyone doing anything to her). She screamed blue murder and kicked the poor lady in Clark's when she was getting her shoes fitted. It's as if she has a phobia or something. I've always tried to keep calm so I don't think I've passed anything on to her. I may be wrong...

She has her MMR booster this morning and I'm dreading it. Any tips on calming her down? I'm armed and ready with Calpol and a lollipop for afterwards.

I'd say keep calm and collected yourself. I know it's hard but the nurses deal with children like that all the time. They are used to it do don't get flustered or embarrassed if they behave outrageously.
Bribes are always good, keep her attention on something else?
