"Abnormal" foot - what would you do?

DD2 who is 16months old has recently started standing up. We have noticed that she stands on the inside of her foot. Firstly, has anyone else had any experience in this, and what was the outcome?

Secondly, I think I want to get it checked out to see if it is something that needs attention. Would you just go along to the Health Visitor Clinic or would you go straight to the doctors? My experience of health visitors is limited, and what I've had, has not been that helpful.

Just interested in your opinions, as I'm sure there are a lot of you out there with more experience in this area than me.

Thanks.

My friend's ds is 17 months and walks very hen-toed. Dr said it was just his way of balancing and it would sort itself out but if i were you i would go check anyway for peace of mind.

I' d go to the doc and ask if an orthopaedic referral was indicated, My dd1 was born with mild club foot and I have seen the orthopod twice - she needs properly fitted shoes is all - but worth checking out!!
