obsession with me

My 2,2 year old ds has developed an absolute obsession with me. MY Dh picks him up from nursery but he always just says mummy mummy and gets upset until I get home, same at the weekends and mornings. The thing is I need my DH to pick him up so I can get my work done but my son has other ideas. Please tell me this is a phase, and it too will pass, and any other ideas for managing while it goes on?

It's a phase Smile
My DD3 is the clingiest of the three and we after joke that the umbilical cord was not cut according to her.

I try to give her as much live and assurance as I can but also recognise that life has to go on - I have to work, she has to go to nursery, her sisters need me too.

Try not to worry too much, just be loving and reassuring. Also my DD3 now has a lovely relationship with her dad as he has had to do so many pick ups and drop offs.

We're in this phase with 20 month DD. She wants me to do everything and Daddy to go away! No advice, it's driving me mad but just thought I'd sympathise!

Agree it does pass. Had to Grin at the umbilical cord not being cut as we have said this about our DD many times. She's 4 now and while she has some great times with her Dad, she is still a Mummy's girl at heart Smile.
