Hi
My DD has quite a few words, but calls me "Ma" and her daddy "Da". She can say "Mama" if I ask her, but has started using Ma and Da as her staples. Is that ok? She also uses "Ba" for "baby". On the other hand, she can say "Sorry" clear as day, Row-Row, Dog-woof etc etc. Think she has about 40 words.
Thanks

She is only 20 months as long as she is making a variety of sounds I really would not worry!

Go into sainsbury's, your toddler group, or the park and listen to other toddlers.
That is how they talk, they do not have the control over thier brains, mouths and larynx's yet to annunciate clearly.
The bit you need to think about is the fact your little one has 40 words and can communicate thier needs to you.
Isn't that amazing that someone so young has learned such a fantastic skill. (I am NOT being sarcastic, communication is amazing Grin )

Just relax and enjoy your conversations with your child.
