Two Year Molars - ARRGGH!!

DD1 has been ropey and very, very crabby for the past week. But showed no other symptoms of illness. We couldn't figure it out until finally I got a look in her mouth and the big bottom two molars are in, just barely.

Any idea how long they'll take? Poor soul! She's a mess - off her food but not fluids. If you ask her, 'Does your mouth hurt?' She just starts shrieking.

No idea how long it will take but my dd2 is 2y3m and she is very crabby at the moment and I just figured out too it was her teeth, poor kid had been crying for a week till I realised.
So have my sympathy!!!

the orange juice ice cubes w/cut up glace cherries in them went over a treat, too!

and she took one of my smoothies.

poor soul's only been wanting tatties w/melted cheese and butter for her tea.

have just made the icecubes so they will be ready in the morning.
Frozen banana chunks are going down well here as well as lots of yoghurt, apple rings and, strangely, (well I suppose to chew on) she ate pepperami from her daddy's lunch supplies) at suppertime but its a bit salty!!

well, she rejected all forms of tea. BIG bright pink spot on her right cheek. in between wails, i got a torch to look in her mouth. the right one has fully erupted on bottom, the top two are not fully through yet, so we've a while to go - the gums were all inflamed.

we had to hold her down to get nurofen in her, but 30 mins. later, she was playing again and nibbled a few of the breadsticks i'd made and she let me brush her teeth well.

Oh Expat- sympathies they are buggers aren' they?
I well remember this time last year, 4 mths of interrupted sleep... Just for 4 bloody teeth, dd was really in bad way with them. WE medicated dd for months and revelled in the discovery that medised was not just for snotty noses...

Well DD who is not yet 22 months got her first spikey point of her first one through before Christmas and it has just recently got to the point where it is fully through now. It has troubled her on and off. She has a spiky point through on the other top one with all the rest of the tooth just below the surface. Not much sign of the bottom ones yet.
