When my DH goes out (like he is tonight) I do things to compensate that I'm in on my own on a Saturday night. So tonight I'm going to eat the Brie (that I hid) and open a bottle of wine (after DS has had last feed) and order a pay to view.

Its not that i don't share things with him I just like to think its my little way of saying harumph - I'll have my own little party!!!

I watch weepy movies, stuff loads of chocolate (although I tend to do that anyway) and read in peace. I love having a night in on my own, it doesnt happen very often.

crazydazy · 04/03/2006 20:54

Never in on my own, if we go out we normally go out together but would probably still be on MN if I was in on my own.

chicagomum · 04/03/2006 20:56

Have cooked tuna (dh hates fish) have a decadent choc dessert in the fridge calling out to me, a couple of glasses of wine, will look for a movie shortly. Mind you evenings on my own are more the nrom for me (dh hasn't been home from work before midnight all week). But when its an evening weekend I tend to spoil myself. If I did this every evening he wasn't here I would be an alcoholic chocolate addicted big arse!

Lucy i usually order a movie that DH wouldn't normally agree to Grin

OH DEAR! i didn't mean to put this in behaviour section SORRY should be in CHAT i know!

colditz · 04/03/2006 21:21

Eat pancakes with jam and have my music on and the bloody ubiquitous telly off!

bigbaubleeyes · 04/03/2006 21:39

Oo (ITV UK) that interview with Tony on Parky is on in 20 mins. I'am ashamed to say that I'll downgrade DS bath with toys to a top n tail (8weeks) and COLDITZ you've reminded me that we bought hazelnut spread for pancakes so I'm going to have that on rice cakes / half healthy eh? Wink

I normally spend a couple of hours on here! Then watch tv and get an early night.
Or, nice hot bath with glass of wine, followed by chocolate, read in bed and an early night. Bliss.

Nonyummymummy · 04/03/2006 21:46

DH gone out for a drink - just ate fruit tart from fridge, wasn't even hungry, now feel slightly sick! However this won't stop me drinking some more wine and spending too long on MN despite promising myself an early night as it is my turn to get up with DD in the morning and this week she is mainly getting up at 6:30am

FrannyandZooey · 04/03/2006 22:06

I go on Mumsnet without having to explain why I am snorting, along the lines of "Oh HC says she can't face googling 'cunt'". It's so much more relaxing :o

notasheep · 04/03/2006 22:20

dp at party tonight-so i get to have the bed all to myself-heaven!

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2006 19:42

Catch up on MN. Eat everything in the fridge. Stick my fingers up at the washing machine on my way past. Catch up on MN. Drink all the wine in our cupboard under the stairs. Eat everything in the cupboards. Stick my fingers up at the washing up on my way past. Catch up on MN. Phone New Zealand. Wear my PJ's with socks (with PJ trousers tucked in). Eat anything else I can find. Wander aimlessly round the house. Catch up on MN. You get the picture!!
