Biting 20 month old

I am glad I sent DH to do nursery pick up today......

DD has bitten 3 children at nursery this morning. I know children do this but I'm really Blush
They are going to inform parents as they all have teeth marks.

DD has only occasionally bitten me or DH at home a few times. This has been due to frustration when we wont let her do something and has been part of a tantrum. We've told her not to bite and done sad faces/ consoled bitten person/given them attention. At nursery there was none of this, just biting. I don't know what to do, nursery haven't said they are going to do anything but I'm really worried.

DD has not been at nursery for a week as we have been on holiday and got back Monday-would this be the cause?

DD2 is 12 weeks and DD1 is really loving toward her.

DD1 only says a few words-Mama, yes, no but does seem to understand what you say to her.

Not sure what is relevant but want to give idea of background.

Am I over thinking? What should I be doing?

Yeah over thinking it. It's frustrating being not able to communicate when you are 20 months and not yet having the wherewithal To cope with all the strong emotions that go on.

Not that it's acceptable. You say no biting when you catch them doing it and when you drop them off you say no biting but that's all you can really do.

It's not forever...
