Only 12 teeth at 21 moths old?

Dd only has 12 teeth and is 21 months old. She has the top & bottom front four and the top & bottom first molars.
Not too worried but most children her age or younger seem to have a full set. When did ur dc get a full set of gnashers?

My DD is 20 months, and only has 4 at the top, 4 at the bottom and the top molars are only just beginning to come through as I discovered when she bit my finger the other day. It's normal, stress not.

My dd is also 20 months and her 7th teeth are coming through just now (4 at the top and 3rd one coming tho at the bottom....) I'm not so worried about it as she can chew most/all of the things I give her!

My 2 year old had exactly the same as yours until about a week ago when she got tooth 13 through. I'm v happy she's been quite slow getting her teeth, the fewer teeth she has the easier it is to attempt to brush them Grin.

Most children do not have a complete set at her age as the the final 4 premolars do not normally come in until around 2 years. Your DD's canine teeth are a little later than average, that is all.

Thanks ladies :)
She didn't have any teeth until 10mo so im guessing they'll all come through a bit later, doesn't stop her eating at all
< eyes half chewed rump steak that was supposed to have been MY dinner Hmm Grin
