My baby is 5 days old and I'm worried about how many/what sort of blanket should i put in his Moses basket, he has so far slept with me but we want to try him in his basket tonight. In the day he sleeps in a babygrow and vest with a cellular blanket doubled over, should I do this at night too but add another blanket?

It depends how hot your room is, a doubled over blanket would've typically been too much for DD in our house in a june birth last year, and certainly not another one. It's colder this year, but still I wouldn't go too excessive, also babies are a bit better at warming themselves up than cooling themselves down so erring on the side of too cold isn't a bad idea.

Feel her tummy or back of her neck regularly, it should feel warm.

There's normally an NHS leaflet with advice and details on how many TOG's various items have here is similar and that's a good guide.
