She try and try, it seems she want so much jump up like oter children but can´t. It seems she dont have the power enough or is a question of balance...is it something to worry? Because I´m very worried.

My dd can't jump she's 2 next month. Ds was almost 2 and a half when he learnt. I remember cos they asked at his 2.5yr check and I said yes, but only recently! I think it's normal if a little later than average

If think its quite normal not to be able to do a two footed jump until about 3 years old. Maybe get her on a trampoline or bouncy castle if you want to try and improve her balance and jumping. I wouldn't worry though :)

Is she trying to jump and going through the motions?

Does she bend her knees and kinda 'jump' but without her feet leaving the floor?

DS did that for ages before he actually jumped properly, I think he was around 2 before even 1 foot left the floor, and then a little longer until both feet did

My dd is 2.1 and learnt to jump about a month ago. She spends a lot of time on the trampoline which has definitely given her confidence, worth a go?!

DS can't, though he can 'skip' along. He's 2.5. I thought lots of children couldn't do it till about 3.

It's a question on the 2.5 year check form here too.

DS is 2.4 and cannot do it either. On a trampoline he just lies down so others can bounce him! For the sleeping bunnies song when they are meant to jump he just sort of prances and marches. He is super agile in other ways so I'm not worried.

mineonly learnt to do that at 2 and 3m, he was trying to bend knees and get off floor by 2 but couldnt, my friends little girl could do it from about 14m, a relatives child from about 18m, they're all different! I held his hands and said "jump! jump!" like a game and that helped him alot, he watched other kids and just started doing it properly at 2 and 3m and now at 2 and 8m he does it all the time (especially hilarious if used as part of a tantrum :) )

I shouldn't worry about it at the moment. Even though DS has a trampoline, he couldn't do it until he was about 4.5, when DD, then 2, learned to do it and he could copy her. He has a huge head, and not brilliant eyesight, so I think the balance/coordination aspect sort of defeated him for a while.
