DS is at the end of reception year. For his first term he used to do this a lot and then it suddenly stopped. He's been fine since Christmas until last week.
Basically he randomly pinches one particular boy (who usually is his very best friend) and then someone else. He does it at random moments throughout the day, but often when they line up to come in after lunchtime play. I think, now, it happens just one time in the day. After being reprimanded he stops, but then does it again the next day.
I didn't let him go to a party tonight, after school, because of it happening again. And he was crying all the way home saying that he doesn't want to go to school anymore. When I asked why that was he said it was in case he did something naughty again.
I am dealing with it as thoroughly as I can. But just am wondering if this is odd behaviour for a 5 year old. And also I need to get to the bottom of it, but am not getting very far at the moment.
