Fist clenching

My dd is 8 weeks old and has recently begun clenching both fists whilst otherwise happy and smiling. Is this normal?

Yes. She's doing it because she's found she can.

I dont think dd1 unclenched her little fists at all, for about the first 2 months of her life!

I had to prise them open gently, once a day, to remove accumulated fluff.
