Dd1 has recently started to scream the house down when we have to leave her friends houses, soft play etc to go home. She also often cries broken heatedly when her older cousins leave her house. I have tried giving her warnings eg were going home in five min but to no avail. She is just so pest to leave the places where she is having fun. I should add she has a lovely happy home which she lies being in once we get home, it's the transition and end of being somewhere else she hates.
It's getting to be v embarrassing end to every activity! Any tips on how to stop her screaming!?
Thanks!

As much as I hate writing this it sounds like a phase my DD2 went down the same road. Before you go out tell Dd that if she does the screaming when you leave the 'play barn' you would come next time. When it happens take her home to next day say we were going to the play barn but we can't because of what happened yesterday.

My dd was just the same, I told her that we couldn't come back to the place if we didn't leave nicely, over time and with reminders and warnings it did get much better but I still never fail to be amazed that I can say "come on, let's go" to my ds and he just comes!!

I remember ds doing this. I used to have to carry him away from the CMs screaming he didn't want to go Blush. Had visions of the neighbours calling social services, and felt a bit put out on hearing others say their dc cried when their Mum left them, not when she fetched them Grin.
Now I believe it's just one of those phases which too, will one day pass.
