I really like the 'little angels' book by Dr Tanya Byron. She is both a mum and and a qualified expert so is able to see both sides.

Toddler Taming!

I've got Tizzie Hall's book How to Raise a Happy Toddler and my friend recommends Jo Frost (Supernanny's book) for practical solutions. I'm going through a difficult toddler hitting stage right now - everyone from his baby sister to me to random kids in the park (how embarrassing). Let me know if you've got any handy tips on how to deal with that one. Blush
