How do I stop my pre-schooler from peeing everywhere

My 4 year old is potty trained and is quite a bright little thing. However she seems to have developed a habit of not going to the toilet for a wee and just pees where ever she is. Part of me thinks she is so into TV, Cbeebies interactive etc etc that she is lazy so just goes where she happens to be. I have tried everything ..taking away her pleasures, threatening to tell her nursery etc etc but she just takes it even though I follow through with my threat ...believe me I don't not follow through for lose of faith of her in me. Any tips as to what I can do ...any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Where possible, give her large-ish drinks at regular times during the day (breakfast, snack, lunch, afternoon snack) and then wait approximately half to three-quarters of an hour - if she hasn't gone to the toilet herself, remove her from what she's doing and take her yourself (she'll probably be bursting to go if it's closer to the three-quarters of an hour time). If she's not creating her own cues for getting up and going, sometimes a little helping hand can break the cycle - she'll get into a habit and will (hopefully) be able to continue this on her own after some help.

However, if she's 4, as it's getting closer to school starting time for her, weeing everywhere might also be a little cry for help - she might be a bit worried. Don't make a big deal about it, but it's worth keeping this in the back of your mind, especially if, up until now, she's been really good at getting herself to the loo in time.

Thank you. I've been talking to her and all she says is that she is not fast enough! I tell her she must be. I've asked if she is worried about anything and she says not. She also said that her wee burns as she passes it and she seems to have, what I presume are, sores as she does not wipe herself properly after using the toilet ..may be her wee is too acidic and it scares her to go but she's afraid to tell me. I do alternate between water and squash to try and reduce her squash intake. I have used sudocreme and that seems to help her. I did think may be its a cry for help too. I'll keep an eye on it. However, today. she's made it to the toilet and made a point of telling me too as she was chuffed and wanted me to praise her lots ..so I did. Another thought that crossed my mind is that may be she has an infection especially if her wee is burning ...a trip to the Drs may help for a dose of antibiotics and see what happens then. Once again thanks for your reply ..much appreciated and I am not going mad.
