My dd age 9 needs constant nattering to wash. When she has a bath she comes out the same as when she went in!. Over and over I have to say, have you washed your face? Every single day is a battle. This, extends to brushing teeth aswell arrgh. Advice please.

No advice but if you find the answer, let me know :o
My DS would never clean any part of himself if given the option.

Could you tell her if she doesn't wash you'll stay in the bathroom with her until she does? Had a phase like this with DS1 (now 10) about 18 months ago...in the end I went back to treating him like a younger child, putting him in the bath and staying to make sure he washed. He wasn't at all impressed and soon started washing by himself again!

That takes me back! We had issues with dd2 refusing to wash her hair at about the same age - maybe slightly older. We birbed her with money - it got her out of the corner she had backed herself into and made her more pleasant to be around!

You should see her now - 28 and immaculate!

lol - obviously we bribed her...

I think birbing is illegal.
