Screaming 1 year old

My 16 month old dd has developed an ear-piercing scream in response to not getting her own way. This can happen pretty frequently and i have tried many different tactics to no avail. The only way to prevent it is 100% attention and with 2 ds's age 2 and 5 this is impossible. They have also taken to shouting back at her or screaming in response. My head!! Any advice before i go crazy?

second the vodka

ah the screaming matches... how I love those... ds is 18 months, dd 4 years... she's the one doing the screaming! ds just takes to destroying things if he gets ignored or to incessnat 'mamamamamamamamamaaaaaa' at this lovely frequency that goes through and through

Best bet is ignoring it. Tough I know but she'll cotton on to it eventually. That's how I got ds to stop turning the tv on/off. He used to get reaction hence kept doing it... then we ignored it and after about 1 week he stopped.

Completely ignore. DS does this and I watch him out of the corner of my eye. Its very funny watching him get bored of screaming and casually pick up a book to read.
