Rolling over

My twins are almost 7 months. DTS started rolling back to front about 4 weeks ago and is now rolling all over the place.

However DTD hasn't made any real attempt to roll. She used to go front to back, but tbh I think she was falling over rather than rolling! She has great head control, can sit unaided for a few minutes at a time (as long as I put her in sitting position ) and gets a lot of tummy time, but so far she hasn't even rolled onto her side. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to help her along - I've tried putting toys just out of her reach and she'll move her head and reach out for them but doesn't roll.

Thanks!

No. Don't worry at all. She clearly has lots of control and strength because she can sit up. She'll do it when she's ready.

My dd2 couldn't roll at 9 months despite being able to sit. In the end she was referred to physio. She still struggles to roll now and she's 2.10! Wait another couple months then see.

Thanks both, I know all babies are different but when you have two the same age it's hard not to compare! Will speak to hv if she's not rolled by 8/9 months

My DS never rolled except for a few times which i think was by acccident, for example is he fell off a cushion. i remember being worried at the time and the HV told me that rolling isn't a milestone (and neither is crawling), some babies just miss rolling out. So HV don't worry if your baby doesn't roll in the same way they would be if they weren't sitting up or pulling up when the time came for that.

DS is now 2 and he started crawling (commando crawling first) at around 8 months without going through the rolling stage. He walked at 14 months which is bang on average.
