Nothing to do with breast feeding. Maybe it was used as a marker of time back-in-the-day.

Ds1 at 6 yrs, his eyes went from blue to green. Ds2 had such dark eyes that we were not sure of the colour right away. Over a few months they became brown.

DS's eyes were very dark when he was born, almost navy blue and turned brown when he was 6 monthsish.I have green eyes, as does my nephew and mine changed from blue to green when I was five or so according to my mum. Hadn't seen my nephew for a few months until last week and his had changed from blue to green since Christmas. So maybe it depends on eye colour as well?

Somewhere between 3-4 months DS's eyes went from grey to green, then from green to brown. I was surprised it happened so soon (and also overnight both times).

DDs are still changing at 17m.
