DS having accidents after a year of being dry

DS is 4.5. He potty trained at around 3, quite easily, and ever since has been very good about going to the loo whenever he needs to. I can barely remember any accidents when he was first potty trained. Recently though he's been having the odd accident here and there - today he actually had two, weed himself when we were out and then pooed in his pants this evening just before bed.

What's going on? This has never been an issue before. I wondered whether he was a little anxious about starting school in September, but it's such a long time away in his little mind could that really be the problem?

If it was just wee then I would be watching out for a UTI, but not sure with the poo as well if that would be affected.

Honestly hadn't thought of a UTI. Will do some googling. Like you I'm not sure it would affect poo.
