How grumpy and/or tired was your dc(s) when they were teething or growing?

my 8 month dd is normally a happy sunny little thing but a few weeks ago she seemed out of sorts, grizzling on and off all the time and looked very tired, yet fighting naps. After a week of this, her two bottom teeth came through and she began sitting up by herself and trying to crawl. She seemed almost overnight much happier. She's now going through the same thing of grizzling, looking really tired again - I can't see any teeth and she still isn't crawling, and now gets very cross and frustrated when she tries now.

Is this typical of growth spurts and teething?

It certainly was for mine. Hope the next teeth come through soon.

Yes, mine too. I remember a really grumpy and clingy phase for a few weeks before dd crawled - she would literally scream with rage every time I tried to put her down on the floor.

Thanks. It's so hard to tell when there is so much going on in their little lives :(

all three of mine were awful for a few months teething. they were so grumpy and clingy

Yep its often only after they have cheered up that you have worked out whether it was teeth or illness or trying to get a new skill under their belt or a combination.

Dd has been a little more cheery today but only because I have limited her crawling practice time. She kept flopping like a walrus onto her stomach and yelling in annoyance and/or pain. She had also wanted more milk than solids today so I think she may be sprouting again. Ds1 was a whingey baby from 4 months until at least all his teeth arrived so I never knew whether it was teeth or personality!
